Joining the Club: Overview
VFX tryouts and team selection takes place starting in September. We utilize an open practice format where athletes and parents can experience the club, and coaches can evaluate players. After 3 practices teams are formed and individual team practices begin.
In order to help place athletes in their best possible environment, club team selection is done early, and on a rolling basis. This allows for athletes and parents to make the best decision for their volleyball career, based upon the opportunity provided to them at VFX. During this time period, athletes get to show their skill and fit within a team, and parents and players will have the opportunity to experience our coaching staff and the players that they will be competing with. Players are selected for teams based upon ability, commitment, past experience, attitude, desire to improve, availability, compliment to team, and fit within coaches style and system.
