3 former VolleyFX players are on teams competing for the 2009 NCAA Championship!

Siena College (Blair Atkins) will face #7 California in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament Friday evening (12/5) in Berkeley, California at 8 PM Pacific time. This marks Siena's fourth consecutive trip to the Tournament. Fans can follow the action via live video stream at www.SienaSaints.com.

Penn State (Alyssa D'Errico), the overall #1 seed, opens up NCAA play at home this weekend, hosting Long Island in the First Round on Friday (12/5). The Nittany Lions enter the weekend with a 32-0 overall record after closing out its second straight undefeated Big Ten season at 20-0.

The University of North Carolina (Steph Jansma), the ACC co-champions, will travel to Washington, D.C. to take on host American on Friday (12/5) as they make their 11th appearance in the NCAA tournament.

In addition to the three players listed above, two schools where VFX'ers are headed in the fall of 2009 are also in playing in the NCAA Tournament. Cincinnati (Megan Turner) opens against Western Kentucky, while Ohio University (Lexie Hartnett) takes on Ivy League champion Yale.
