Mystic - 14s Silver Bracket Winners
Magic - 18s Champions
Chant - 2nd Place - 15s Gold Bracket
Chant 15-1's placed 2nd in the Winter Challenge, after battling with a very tough Renaissance team in the Gold Finals. The girls went undefeated in their first two pools, never dropping a set. On Sunday morning they played a challenge match against Renaissance who came in as the #1 seed (Chant was seeded #3). The girls lost the challenge match in two games to the team from Pittsburgh and really never got their stride. They rebounded however and swept teams in the quarters and semi's. Coach Cindy even provided a little excitement in the semi's getting a yellow card (which the official changed to a Red Card- though we are not sure why). The final's match vs. Renaissance was more exciting than the first meeting between the two teams as Chant hung tough against a very tall, athletic and strong serving team, eventually losing 25-15, 25-15. The girls' secured some BLING to take home and they worked hard on trying to live up to their team quote, "Dream to Believe, Dare to Achieve!"
