Not since 2003 had VFX seen this small of a senior class, and even then it was 5!

Entering into the final run at their club careers, four VFX Magic 181 members take the role that only they can. Seniors.

With more than 170 members on teams from 18-under to 10-under, only these 4 are on their final run at their club careers. Each, looks back at the great times, looks forward to their college careers, and without separation... look to pull together, as one, with a common focus.

Stepping up as leaders, and future alumni this year boast four very special athletes, each of which you will only begin to hear about and read about... we are sure they will be making great impact on their teams in the future, but not before leading Magic towards their goals in 2006.

Allie Matters
The unselfish captain and coach of the Magic defense is the heart and soul of this nationally recognized team. Her leadership on the court is a standard by which all athletes should follow. Her only goal... in her words... "We have a special team this year, I love these girls and together we want to make the biggest statement a New York team has ever made!"

Kaitlin O'Hara
The HUGE and impressive MB has achieved many milestones over her career... latest of which was touching 10'1" on her spike approach. Impressive? Yes. Impactful? Definitely. Kait also wants to make a statement this year, her focus is that "good enough, isn't good enough." As she puts it, "this can be a really great year for our team and this club, everyone cares so much and wants it so bad. You see it off the court and on the court. We are working hard to be the best."

Chandra Roberson
She jumps, she cuts, she crushes. The prototypical MB is the main focus of Magic's offense. Her domination in the middle will send opponents running. But she knows that it takes more than herself to make it come together. It is her teammates that she focuses on. "This team is about more than volleyball. It is a family, that is special, that is what makes it magical. I am looking forward to my senior year, and finishing strong with these girls".

Stephanie Turner
In a word, she is a natural freak. Like Jerome Kearse (the NFL version of the freak), she will go out with a bang her senior year while reinventing the RS position. You might see her and think small for a rightside... she is not your typical, slow and big lefty. On the contrary, she jumps high, swings fast, blocks hard, and picks up all the offense you send her way. Reinventing the RS, she wants you to think she is too small for the game... but we know you will say "Wow" when you see her. And do you think she loves this team? Straight from her words... "this team has had the biggest impact on my life to date, I love these girls and will do anything for them."

Joining this group of exceptional athletes is Tammela Platt, a dedicated practice player for Magic. Tam is the fifth senior who will graduate from the club. In a special role with Magic, Tam dedicated her senior year to training and helping to make Magic a better team. Forgoing the opportunity to start with any other club, Tam's unselfish commitment to VolleyFX illustrates what makes the club so special. Look for Tam locally at Magic Tourneys, or View Player Profile.

Follow them, look for them and know them.

Just don't ever forget them... I know they won't let you.

They are the class of 2006.
