Steph
Jansma keeps piling up the accolades, this time being announced as Gatorade
New York State Volleyball Player of the Year. The stud setter for VFX
Magic has been inundated with a variety of kudos already this year, from
being listed on the NY All-State Team MVP, as a Prep Volleyball All-American
to being a Finalist for the Andi Collins Award recognizing the top setter
in the country. As always, she selflessly puts these accomplishments behind
and continues to focus on leading her team. When asked about the award,
Steph stated that "I am honored for the recognition, but no awards
are achieved without great teammates in this sport. And I am fortunate
to have played with many great players and friends." She continued,
quickly changing the subject to this upcoming weekend and Magic's kick-off
weekend at PVA. "Right now I am focused on the upcoming tournament,
and working together with a great group of girls to kick off our season
positively."
