VolleyFX is proud to announce that its Charm coach, Roger Worsley, has been appointed to coach a national team! Worsley has been selected as the Head Coach for the US Deaf Men’s Volleyball Team for 2007-2009. The team’s schedule will include the Pan Am Games in Valencia, Venezuela (August 11-18, 2007); the World Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina (August 1-15, 2008); and the Summer Deaflympics in Taipei, Taiwan (September 1-15, 2009). The team will also participate in the US Opens in 2008 and 2009.

Worsley’s experience in working with deaf athletes on the RIT Volleyball Team sparked his interest in coaching the USA Program.

“I am very honored to have been offered this opportunity,” Worsley has said. “I hope to develop a program that will serve as a source of strong national pride. Through our national and international play, I intend on promoting the game of volleyball to encourage participation to a wider national audience.”

The position is a volunteer appointment and will revolve largely around the next three summers. Congratulations to Roger and best of luck to him and the US Team!
