The VFX team Mystery came away with their first tournament victory during the club's VFX Winter Challenge held at the Main Street Armory. Mystery defeated a very athletic DRVC club from Ontario, Canada in the finals in dramatic style 21-25, 26-24 and 15-13 to take home their first ever gold medal.

After losing game one and down 18-13 in game two, Mystery pulled together as a team and went on to win the final two games for the victory against the Canadian Champions. Head Coach Matt Glover "We came together as a team and fought off adversity numerous times throughout the tournament and managed to always be looking on the bright side. Hard work and effort goes a long way in our strive for success."

The victory in the final was their second 3-game victory in a row as they advanced from the semi-final game by defeating the tournaments top seed, Team PVA from Philadelphia, setting up the final with DRVC.

The team also recorded a second place finish at the Hocus-Pocus Tournament earlier this year as well as a tie for 9th place amongst 59 teams in Columbus, Ohio.
