News: Steph Plays in NCAA Championships
ROCHESTER, New York, (December 2nd, 2005) – University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Freshman setter Stephanie Jansma, a native of Lancaster, NY, helped her team defeat Maryland to become the Atlantic Coast Conference champions and advance to the NCAA Volleyball Championships. The Tar Heels take on the College of Charleston tonight, December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. Follow all the action and get the results on-line at <http://tarheelblue.collegesports.com/sports/w-volley/unc-w-volley-body.html> The University of North Carolina volleyball team is set to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Volleyball Championships. Purdue will play Virginia Commonwealth first at 5pm. This is the third time the Tar Heels are hosting in the program’s history and the first since 2002. Earlier this year, Jansma recorded her first career double-double in the match against the University of San Francisco, finishing with 35. Steph, who led VFX Magic to two straight WEVA championships and an undefeated regional record, continues to represent VFX well.
