Facilities

Our goal at VolleyFX is to keep everyone at the same site throughout the tournament. Unfortunately, due to the ever-changing schedules of our HS and collegiate facilities, we did our best to make sure Sunday's schedule allowed everyone to get on the road at a reasonable time. We may have had to start at a later time than desired due to gym availability. 

Please note that each facility has its own rules regarding entry fees, parking, and outside food.

Main St Armory: 900 E Main St, Rochester, NY 14605. Concessions available. Small outside food items are allowed (no coolers, crockpots, trays, etc.). No outside chairs allowed - new floor level bleachers. Entry fee: $5/day per person. On-site/street parking is free for Hocus Pocus. 

SUNY Brockport (Tuttle North and South): 350 New Campus Dr, Brockport, NY 14420. Concessions may be available during parts of the day - No Entry Fee

Tri-County Sports Complex: 856 Walworth Penfield Rd, Macedon, NY 14502. Concessions available, No outside food allowed – 1-day pass $8 | $15 2-Day Pass. All entry fees collected by TCSC.

Robert Wesleyan University: 2301 Westside Dr, Rochester, NY 14624.  Small outside food items are allowed (no coolers, crockpots, trays, etc.). $5 Entry Fee. Doors will open 45 minutes before the first scheduled game.

We have secured off-site parking and a shuttle for Main Street Armory attendees. Please park only in the designated lots shown in the attached images or use side street parking. Do not park in any private lots that are not marked in the images.

For the parking lot next to Village Gate, please do not park alongside the building. Employees in the building need those spaces. Cars parked alongside the building will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Parking on the Village Gate restaurant side is also not permitted and will result in your car being towed.

We have also secured parking at School of the Arts for Saturday ONLY

Registration and Cost Information

Interested teams can register using AES. Once you have registered online, please print the entry form and send payment to VolleyFX immediately to secure your spot. Teams are accepted first-come-first-serve, and spots are only confirmed once payment is received. The 12 and under division is open and will only take place on Sunday with the cost for that division being $350. The cost of the tournament for all the other divisions is $550. All teams need to be prepared with the most recent copy of their USAV roster at check-in on the morning of the division's first day of play. Canadian teams can bring a self-made team roster, and the entry fee must equal $550 American or we can send an invoice online. Tournament Information

Tournament Details: As we get closer to the tournament date, all information that is needed will be sent out to clubs via email and posted to this webpage. We will have the locations, addresses, tournament format documents and information for Canadian teams on this page.

Food Information: Most facilities will have concessions open. We will provide a pdf with helpful information for food in the area.

To access your schedule on Aes:

1) Visit advancedeventsystems.com using your phone browser

2) Click “Results” Button near top of page

3) Tap “search by event name” box and type in name of this tournament (Hocus Pocus)

4) Click on the VolleyFX Hocus Pocus entry, then choose your age division.

5) Select “Overview” which will list all the pools, teams in each pool, and their won-lost records. It also lists playoff brackets. To see detailed info about a single pool click on the pool sheet button for that pool. This will give you current standings for that pool, scores of completed matches, pool schedule, and playoff bracket each team will go to depending on final pool standings. 

*Please note after you first pool, you will be re-seeded into a second pool, half of which will be played on Saturday, and half Sunday morning. Do not leave until you are sure you are done for the day on Saturday (this will be in the evening). *

All pool play will consist of 2 sets to 25, win by two, no cap.

All bracket play will be the best of 3 sets, with the 3rd set played to 15, win by two, no cap.

For Tie-Break Purposes:

Match record will be determined by sets won and point differential. A team will earn a match win (for tie-break purposes only) if they win both sets in a match or win one set and have a higher total number of points scored across the two sets played.
